A purse is usually described as, “a small bag for carrying personal items.” But anyone who loves purses knows it is much more than that.
I have many purses to choose from. Which one I carry depends on what I’m wearing, where I’m going, how long I’ll be out, what time of day it is, and many other situational considerations that come up from time to time. My favorite purse is my Joe Boxer denim backpack bag. With zippers and snaps, it has several compartments to keep everything in order and works with my busy lifestyle. Unfortunately, one zipper pull has come loose, so I’m left with a decision. Do I spend money to get it fixed, so I can continue to carry this goes-with-everything everyday bag, or do I bid it goodbye and start over?
Starting over is hard, not because there are no good choices. It’s because there are too many. And, none of my special event, or goes-with-just-one-outfit purses won’t do. So a-hunting I will go.
